Fish passes are installed on river weirs to allow the passage of migratory fish upstream to their spawning sites.   John Flude, in co-operation with the Environment Agency, planned the installation of a replacement fish pass at the Arlington weir on the Cuckmere River.  Photographs are shown of the new pass installation together with other fish passes on the River Ouse at Barcombe, East Sussex and on the Rother in West Sussex
